If you would like to come to the U.S. for vocational studies you can qualify for an M-1 visa. The M-1 classification is for students who are pursuing a full course of study at an SEVP-approved vocational or other recognized non-academic institution (other than in language training programs) in the United States. An M-2 is for your spouse or children under 21.
You can qualify for an M-1 visa if you are an international student enrolling in a technical program at vocational or other recognized non-academic institution, other than a language training program.
